Quickstart
From nothing to a sent message in about five minutes, without touching DNS.
- Sign in. We email you a link; there is no password.
- Create an organization, then a test project.
- Open the project’s API keys and create one. It is shown once, so copy it.
- Send a message with the sample below.
- Open the message in the dashboard to see its timeline.
export SENDSEND_API_KEY=ss_test_...curl -X POST 'https://api.sendsend.email/v1/emails' \

-H 'Content-Type: application/json' \
-H "Idempotency-Key: $(uuidgen)" \
-d '{

],
"subject": "Welcome to Acme",
"html": "<p>Thanks for signing up!</p>",
"text": "Thanks for signing up!",
"tags": {

}'Test keys accept every request and simulate delivery, bounces and events, but never send real email. They do not count against your allowance.
Going live
- Create a live project and add the domain you will send from. See Add and verify a domain.
- Add the DNS records at your DNS provider and wait for the domain to show Verified.
- Live sending starts once your account is approved. Until then, live mail can go only to a small number of your own addresses.
- Create a live key (
ss_live_…) and swap it in.
